Antonio e Mimino Turlizzi
Antonio Turlizzi, with the help and the experience of his father Mimino Turlizzi, designs and realizes olive wooden items and furniture for private houses and shops. Our company boasts two generations of experience in the processing of the woo, that’s why we do our job with craftsmanship and passion.
Each olive wooden item is unique thanks to manual processing and wood’s exclusivity, in fact it is carefully selected and that gives a pleasant velvet touch. The final result is obtained by the washing and a following impregnation, performed manually on each piece with olive wood coming from the nearby “salentina” countryside. It is important to underline that our company doesn’t use glues and synthetic paints.
Turlizzi is one of the few workshops that still practices the ancient art of the inlay. It is one of the most ancient and spread decorative technique that make possible the implementation of items, friezes, statues and artworks.
Today, with the new technics, our company wants to enhance the quality in the thickness, color and grain. Wood has always been used, because of its ductility and because it has the same features of a human being, able to get old, suffering the ravages of the time. Turlizzi olive wood exploits these skills to realize tools for the house and the kitchen like chopping boards, cutlery, bowls, chessboards, keychains, bookmarks, religious items and much more.
